Chapter One: Introduction

1.1 Background of the Study
Human trafficking remains a pressing global issue, with devastating consequences for individuals and communities. In Nigeria, including Bade Local Government Area (LGA), Yobe State, human trafficking is fueled by poverty, lack of awareness, and limited opportunities. Public relations (PR) strategies have proven effective in combating this menace by raising awareness, promoting advocacy, and fostering collaboration among stakeholders. PR campaigns leverage media, community engagement, and advocacy to educate vulnerable populations about the risks of trafficking and the available support systems.
